In their 8th straight summer Cavendish Beach Music Festival continues to grow in popularity with fans as well as the Artists. Staff have just announced the headliners for the 2016 event taking place July 8th, 9th, 10th. This has been the first time that all three headliners were announced in the first round as well as being announced much earlier than previous years. Fans were not disappointed with the acts that were named including the long awaited return of Blake Shelton who was unable to attend 2014 event due to Hurricane Aurther. That is ok though as he now brings some new hits with him. Blake will headline the Saturday night feature with his open act to be named.
But first up on July 8th, is the newest group/duo award winner of the year, The Band Perry. Fans will be excited to see them perform and kick off what is touted to be the best ticket of the summer. Their opening act is yet to be named as well. This excites me to think that even with the stellar lineup already announced we can expect to see many more talented musicians at CBMF.
Fans never want this festival to come to end. On the last day of the festival fans will be treated to the Kenny Chesney who continues to be on top of the country music world selling out stadiums wherever he performs. Chesney is bringing his opening act Old Dominion as well. Not sure about you but their hit song Break up with her is so catchy that I often find myself singing this tune all day at work.
This event will be one of many years myself attending this event and I cannot tell you how well this event is put together. Staff are fantastic and the event runs so smoothly with no hiccups. Fans all seem to have a good time with no issues. How could this event not get better. Great location, great acts, awesome venue with no structures being added all the time, fantastic sponsors, good food and drinks, stellar music/production and to top it all off the best fans. The East Coast sure do know how to have a good time and celebrate in fashion. Stay tuned to the many more acts to named including many of our own homegrown talents across Canada. Many acts will be named to perform on the Cavendish Farms Kitchen Stage and The Gahan House Stage. Halifax was recently treated to the Canadian Country Music Awards and witnessed all that Canada has to offer. Which in my books they are second to none. I sure hope to see many of our Canadian Artists at CBMF as well.
I know one thing for sure. I will have my tickets tomorrow when they go on sale. Make sure you get your tickets as well for the biggest country festival East of Toronto if not across Canada.
