Halifax Pop Explosion Music Festival expands 2016 lineup with Keys N Krates, Charles Bradley, Basia Bulat, Grandtheft, TUNS, and more

Keys N Krates, Charles Bradley, Basia Bulat, Grandtheft, and TUNS are among the second wave of artists announced for the Halifax Pop Explosion Music Festival’s 2016 lineup. Other artists announced today include Holy Fuck, Voivod, Harrison, Nap Eyes, comedian Kyle Kinane, and more.

They join previously announced acts Hey Rosetta!, PUP, White Lung, The Barr Brothers, and comedy headliner Cameron Esposito for the festival which takes place from October 19-22, 2016 in Halifax NS.

“Every year we strive to bring bands to Halifax that are as exhilarating as they are talented,” says James Boyle, Executive Director of the Halifax Pop Explosion Music Festival. “I can say, without a doubt, that this year’s festival is more exciting than ever. Halifax Pop Explosion is a festival for all music fans and I am positive you will find your next favourite band at this year’s event.”

The 24th edition of the Halifax Pop Explosion Music Festival returns to some of Halifax’s premiere music venues including The Marquee Club, The Seahorse Tavern, The Carleton Music Bar & Grill, Gus’ Pub, Reflections Cabaret, and the Halifax Forum Multi-Purpose Centre, which will serve as the festival’s main stage flagship venue and be equipped with a VIP lounge. For the first time, performances will also be held at the NSCAD-run Art Bar.

The Halifax Central Library on Spring Garden Road serves as a festival hub this year, and is also home to the Comedy Lounge and the 2016 Music Conference.

Early Bird VIP Passes ($179), Early Bird Festival Wristbands ($89), Day Passes ($59), and a limited amount of individual show tickets are on sale now.

Pop Explosion
