Marianas Trench was in Halifax last night at the Scotiabank Centre on their latest stop of their tour. They certainly did not disappoint the fans that filled the seats anxiously waiting to see them. Marianas Trench had a number of opening acts on this night after hosting a contest. Lead singer Josh Ramsey held the contest as he felt it was important to help promote new artists and fellow Canadian musicians. Well Halifax was pleased to see two Artists from Newfoundland this night. First up was Janet Cull a real rocker who impressed Ramsey with her contest entry and youtube videos. Electronic-pop band, Repartee, also from NFLD performed to the delights of the audience and captivating them with their high energy. Shawn Hooke who is touring with Marianas Trench has a real smooth soulful sound. Fans enjoyed all the acts as the awaited for the main attraction to hit the stage. Marianas Trench proved why they have multiple platinum albums, awards and mannominations. They can sing, entertain and put one hell of a performance.
