Default Rocks Halifax – Last Stop Of Their Tour

Default formed in 1999, released 4 albums, sold more than a million records until disbanding in 2013.

Early 2018 the band announced they would be going on a reunion tour. I was very excited, Default was on of my favourite bands in high school. I knew it would be one heck of a amazing show.  The Motorleague from Moncton, NB opened for Default. They had the crowd rocking!!

After not touring together for 7 years or more, they came on stage and performed as if they never stopped. Dallas Smith, lead singer has been having a huge successful career in country music since went their separate ways.

To see him step off his country stage and back into rock music for this tour was great. He brought alone his guitarist Darren Savard to make it a 5 piece band. Everything just fit.

The crowd was wild, rocking out and singing along to every song. Some louder than others.  Halifax was the last stop on their tour and it was incredible.

I am very happy I got to cover this show and take little trip back to the early 2000’s and sing along to their songs such as “Count on Me” and “Wasting My Time”.
