Nova Scotia Gets Loud with Tim Hicks, Tebey & Madeline Merlo

Tim Hicks kicked off his Get Loud Tour on November 1st in Toronto. He had two Nova Scotia dates, November 3rd in Bridgewater and November 5th in Halifax. We covered both shows and they were both incredible.

Madeline Merlo kicked off the show with Honey Jack and had the whole place singing and dancing along with her. I can’t say enough great things about her performance. Madeline is an incredible artist, I think my favourite part of her set was when she performed “War Paint”.

Tebey! What can I say about his performances…. incredible, high energy and all around fantastic. It is incredible standing in the back of the venue taking it all in and listening to the entire crowd singing “Whose’s Gonna Love You” along with Tebey. The crowd sang along to every song for each one of these artists. That has to be the most amazing feeling as an songwriter/artist, hearing your fans singing your songs back to you.

Tebey told the crowd he moved to Nashville at 15 years old and made his living for many years as a songwriter. He has wrote songs for many artists in different genres from One Direction to Tim McGraw. He then went on to sing the song he wrote and Justin Moore recorded “Somebody Else Will”.

Tebey said “I always hope that I walk out with more fans than when I walked in”. He also said near the end of his set that every single night we come out here and give it everything we got, so thank you for giving it back to us.

I had the chance to interview Tim Hicks prior to his tour and he said “My favourite part is that East-coasters know how to PARTY!!! I love the energy and enthusiasm and I can’t wait to see everybody out there!  Some of our rowdiest shows have been East coast tour dates”.

I have to say…that is exactly what he got on his two stops in Nova Scotia. The crowd had lots of energy, rowdy and partied while singing and rocking out with Tim.

Tim always puts on a great show, I look forward to taking in his shows when he comes around. He sang songs from his new album kicking the night off with “New Tattoo” along with some oldies but goodies like “Stompin’ Ground”.

Overall, our advice is check out the tour dates and if they come to a city near you.. GO. Don’t hesitate because you will have an amazing time with these 3 talented Canadian Artists!
