CCMA-Award Winning Canadian country star Chad Brownlee releases the music video for his latest single “Forever’s Gotta Start Somewhere” via Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. Directed by award-winning director Ben Knechtel (The Reklaws, James Barker Band, Jade Eagleson, Carly Rae Jepsen, Scott Helman), the music video was filmed in Brownlee’s homebase along the stunning west coast British Columbia and features Brownlee’s beloved dog, Ellie.
“I’ve shot many videos over the years in a variety of different places, but it’s always extra special when it’s somewhere that feels so connected to who I am,” said Brownlee. “For the past 3 years I’ve called the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia home and it didn’t take long to fall in love with its calming yet breathtaking beauty. When Ben proposed the idea of shooting ‘Forever’s Gotta Start Somewhere’ along this beautiful coastline in order to really capture who I am amongst a place that feeds my soul, it was an instant yes. Each scene was shot in a place you could find me wandering through the woods or along the shore with my dog Ellie. This time I just happened to have a camera follow me while my song played! It was a magical couple days with the weather Gods smiling down on us. I hope everyone enjoys watching it as much as we did making it!”
“Forever’s Gotta Start Somewhere” is the second single released from Brownlee’s upcoming debut album with his major label record deal with Universal Music Canada, and is about making that bold first move in introducing yourself to someone new. Since its release in January 2019, the single has continued to climb key partner playlists and secured the #1 spot on the iTunes charts. Solidifying his return with the signature sound that fans know and love, but with a fresh new flair, “Forever’s Gotta Start Somewhere” arrived as follow-up to Brownlee’s chart-topping major label debut single, “Dear Drunk Me.” which hit #2 on the Canadian Country music charts, marking his first ever Top Five single.
